Reporting to the Head of Digital Development, this role will inspire and lead a team of digital developers, including front end, back end and designers, to drive innovation around consumer facing technologies for VF's world class brands. Core responsibilities include continuously surveying the market for newest technologies and trends, driving the incubation of ideas, determining technologies to implement, evangelizing solutions, creating proof of concepts, piloting, and establishing solutions towards production. This position will establish strong cross functional relationships with VF brands and vendors in order to be successful. Experience & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field such as Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration is a plus.
Strong understanding of ecommerce and digital landscape.
5+ years experience managing a team.
5+ years experience in related technology industry with demonstrated success in developing new ideas, prototypes and proof of concepts.
Programming or other technological skills that can be used in building proof of concept solutions.
Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership and relationship building skills.
Prior experience and knowledge in some of the following areas is preferred:
Innovation or incubation roles, former lab experience
Participation in Open Source communities
Virtual environments such as VMWare or Openstack
Augmented reality, holograms and virtual reality
Internet of things, enabled smart products
Deep Learning, especially Caffe
Structure from Motion techniques, especially SLAM
Major mobile app shipping
