VF Corporation Accounts Receivable/Cash Application Specialist in Appleton, Wisconsin

In this position you are responsible for applying cash to customer accounts, resolving and negotiating repayment of compliance deductions with external partners, analyzing deduction data to initiate process change, and supporting Credit Specialists on account transactions and brand programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies cash by posting customer payments.

  • Investigates and resolves customer deductions by contacting internal departments and customers. Documents and sends chargebacks to customers on invalid claims.

  • Traces lost and short-shipment claims by running tracers for proofs of delivery and payment. Files claims to carriers for lost and/or damaged goods

  • Provides general support by answering/routing telephone calls, maintaining files and performing miscellaneous projects as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of credit/accounts receivable preferred

  • Associate Degree in Business with major/minor in Finance and/or Accounting (preferred)

  • Strong Excel knowledge with ability to create and manipulate pivot table and v lookups

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills

  • Quick and accurate data entry skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Proven decision making skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Ability to follow through and complete tasks in a timely manner

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work in a team environment
