The Manager – Financial Systems role is part of the VF Outdoor Coalition Accounting team leading the planning, requirements, implementation and administration of VF Outdoor Coalition financial systems. This role will act as a liaison between the business and Information Technology partners leading system enhancements and process improvements. Main tasks will include project management support, performing detailed requirements gathering, business process documentation and facilitation of testing and training. Successful candidates will possess a passion for systems, analytical thought process, continuous improvement mindset and a strong ability to lead gathering business requirements and propose robust solutions to meet business needs.
Responsible for support of systems maintenance, enhancements and new system implementation acting as a liaison between the business and IT partners ensuring robust systems & reporting solutions to support efficient and effective business processes.
Facilitate meetings with business subject matter experts and users to gather business requirements and objectives to support system development, enhancements, acquisitions and process improvement efforts.
Lead and facilitate business process improvement initiatives, process/system gap analysis and identify opportunities for improvement suggesting alternative approaches as needed to meet resource constraints, budget and timelines.
Review and analyze pre-existing financial systems and processes identifying opportunities for improvement. Propose and develop strategies and potential alternative solutions to improve and further leverage the company’s financial systems.
Lead and support enhanced financial systems issue tracking, resolution and status reporting.
Collaborate in the design planning, development, and deployment of enhancements to existing financial systems and new applications.
Create and maintain technical, project planning, and documentation of business processes and system training documentation.
Manage technical requirements, and setup financial systems and reporting to maintain backups, updates, and develop improvements. Maintain standards and documentation.
Prepare and deliver recommendations, or reports, which address existing, or potential trouble of the financial systems.
Prepare and deliver effective security requests access and model to support efficient support and onboarding of new business resources.
Create efficiencies within the area or across the area by evaluating business processes, recommending improvements, and identifying new opportunities.
2-4 years financial systems management experience
BS/BA in Accounting, System Applications, or Project Management preferred
Proven Leadership experience
Broad technical skills with deep knowledge in database development & application support
Knowledge of Accounting
Experience with Financial Systems; SAP and Cognos preferred
Project management & process improvement skills to develop, implement and enhance processes
Excellent verbal and written communication
Occasional travel is required
