Product Line Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the Eagle Creek Family

As the Product Line Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to coordinator, organize, and facilitate with the Product Line Manager in all aspects of managing Eagle Creek product categories. You will support and oversee in-line product assortment as well as SMU’s and quick strikes for all key accounts. The Product Line Coordinator will maintain the seasonal line lists, visual line plans (VLPs) and product reference charts (PRCs). You will enjoy gathering competitive data and will create reports using consumer insight research from NPD and WGSN. You will have the opportunity to category analysis and make recommendations to product assortment based on sell thru data, competitive landscape and market trends.

How You Will Make a Difference:

You will examine reports and tracks relevant market sales data for EC and its competitors and makes recommendations. This opportunity will complete comprehensive competitive analysis and provide data and observations. This Coordinator will manage the daily implementation of data to accurately reflect each season’s product assortment through company’s Line List. You will provide timely and accurate features and benefits (FAB’s) information in coordination with Design & Product Brand Manager for newly developed products to the Marketing team. This opportunity will coordinate with Design and Development to maintain and assure accurate product reference charts (PRC’s) and visual line plans (VLP’s), and distributes to organization. You are detail orientated to monitor the Go-to-Market calendar, and support preparations for major meetings. Makes recommendations to product categories based on analysis of sell thru data, and account level needs alongside PLM and Sales. You will support Sales with creation of merchandising and visual line planning tools. Have the opportunity to aid in the creation of revenue and margin analysis tools on a seasonal and/or project basis

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Merchandising/Buying or related field

  • Experience in a product related career, luggage and or/Outdoor specialty a plus.

  • Merchandising, consumer products or retail experience required.

  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical abilities and an ability to understand the broader implications of actions.

  • A general understanding and experience with the product sourcing process is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and problem solving skills.

  • Comfortable in self-starter environment.

  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and Adobe Illustrator proficiency required.

  • NPD experience a plus.

  • Strong retail math.

  • Work collaboratively in an open environment with product team and cross-functional partners.

  • Motivated with a desire to develop and grow in this position.

  • Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 5% of time.

  • Willing and able to work additional hours when needed.

  • Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25lbs, depending on need.
