PLM Analyst: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As a PLM Analyst in our family you will have the opportunity to define how our business uses PLM data within the FlexPLM system. You will be responsible for setting the processes in place and enforcing it across our brand and its global counterparts in Asia Pacific, Central and South America, Europe and North America. You will have the opportunity to refine and enhance the PLM process while working with various cross functional partners in Product, Marketing, Development and Operations across all levels of the business supporting New Product Initiatives on seasonal key launches and helping shape the way we work as we continue to grow.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • You will partner with the VF Center of Excellence teams and Vans brand employees for process development and system alignment

  • You will lead and manage the day to day operations of FlexPLM.

  • Key driver of projects working with cross-functional teams to define, implement and monitor new projects and enhancements in PLM system.

  • You will partner closely with IT on supporting technologies by gathering requirements, documentation and training.

  • You will be involved with Global Process definition, testing, gap analysis and project management.

  • Beta test new PLM processes before user implementation. Gain alignment from functional area business partners on user acceptance.

  • You will be responsible for all training and communication surrounding new processes and technology enhancements for completed projects, in and outside of PLM.

  • Partner with both regional and global operations teams to further connect the front end to the back end.

  • Manage Critical Path for Product Development across brands. Construct and map out acceptable overlays between multiple seasons, ensuring sufficient lead times for development, product, costing, and materials teams.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree in management or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the product development or management field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

· Ability to anticipate and identify issues that may prevent deliverables and develop and implement corrective action plans

· Communicate and coordinate project activities with (business teams, merchandising, development, buying, regional teams, finance)

· Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

· Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed

· Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

· Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time.
