Senior Manager - Production for Environmental Design: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

The Senior Manager of Production Environmental Design will define this role for some time to come. As the Senior Manager, you will be rooted in print production and/or 3D production of fixtures, shop in shops and in some circumstances, build out a complete store. It is necessary for you to have a high level of passion and understanding for the design process in order to work closely with the ED Design team. Your love for the process will only further your ability to develop and refine it as the needs of the business dictate. As a Sr. Manager, you will have the ability to interact with many people in various different functions and levels of the organization, which will allow you to glean ideas from anyone in this company. It is crucial that you boast strong relationship-building skills and are suitable to visualize win-win opportunities with colleagues, which will come in handy when striving to see impactful results in your operations. How You Will Move the Needle:

  • Manage the process for ED Production, that works to serve the internal/external customers while taking into account the larger Creative, Creative Services, Marketing & ED Teams. Your business decisions will be critical in making sure you aid our customers while serving the best interests of our company.

  • Work far out in order to receive bids on major projects while managing the now by flawless execution on all deliverables. Your ability to multitask will impact our ability to seize any window of opportunity that will greatly benefit our brand.

  • Establish a benchmark to make Vans the leader in the VF org and beyond by delivering Environmentally friendly, Eco Conscientious materials for sell in and sell through. The ambitious nature you will bring into this role will move us closer to making us the trailblazer of the action sport footwear company.

  • Evaluate current Vendor structure and then institute best practices for vetting and developing long term business relations where both sides ‘win’.

  • Building then nurturing a highly proficient team in order to aspire to individual and collective greatness in their areas of responsibilities.

Desired Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+ years in a similar role with a whole/retail establishment or an industry with similar type experience.

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ general management experience in the print production/fixture/store construction or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Certification or Specialty Recognition in an area or field will be considered too.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 25-40% amount of time.

  • Lifting and/or bending 25 lbs of weight.
