VF Corporation JanSport: Financial Planning Manager in Denver, Colorado
The primary responsibility of the FP&A Manager is to support the Brand CFO and other senior management in the development and implementation of key financial processes such as the annual budget, the monthly forecasts, the strategic plan, and the analysis & reporting of monthly operating results. In addition to serving as the financial steward, the Finance team is a strong business partner to the management team and is involved in key decisions impacting the brand. The FP&A Manager will also drive change management through process, systems, and reporting improvements to provide more transparency and visibility into current and future financial results.
This position is temporarily based in Alameda, CA before relocation to new JanSport headquarters in Denver, CO on a date to be determined within the coming year.
Lead the monthly forecast, the monthly reporting and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes. Provide variance analysis and determine cause of change. Scope includes the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Coordinate with internal business partners as well as Coalition and VF finance teams in the preparation, implementation, and compliance of management reporting & analysis requirements.
Propose and drive enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as requisite system requirements. Critically review existing business and financial processes and recommend & drive enhancements with business partners.
Support growth initiatives by providing analytical support on marketing and capital investments and partnering with cross-functional teams.
Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 6 years of experience in the FP&A function, preferably in the retail, apparel or consumer-related industries.
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics or other quantitative disciplines.
MBA a plus but not a requirement.
Expertise in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong financial modeling skills.
Ability to form business partnerships, manage multiple projects, and drive process changes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), financial reporting tools (e.g. Hyperion), and Excel and MS Office products.
