Job Description


Business leader must ensure timely and cost effective strategic support within the supply chain. Align with brands, sector management, financial plans and merchandising strategies to achieve business goals. Development and implement business strategies in conjunction with Panama supply hub. Goals include developing a high performance supply base that delivers product innovation, lower cost and a reliable supply of quality materials within lead-times that support business strategies.


  • Be the primary strategic material leader embedded within the coalition to support the brands (Face of Workwear GMS- Ft. Worth)

  • Provide strategic connectivity and alignment with Brands, Sourcing, manufacturing, Finance and Panama

  • Leverage best business practices across coalitions to provide value to the brands

  • Leverage overall volume and supplier relationships while supporting brand strategies

  • Identification of best practices

  • Promote material supply strategic connectivity with brands, manufacturing and Panama

  • Liaise with brands, Operations, Product Development, Panama and Finance to drive strategic initiatives and special projects

  • Liaise for domestic material supply activities – samples, specifications, strategic initiatives, etc.

  • Manage supplier relationships

  • Support and promote material innovation & sustainability initiatives with suppliers

  • Participate in strategic negotiations, supplier selection and identification of cost savings opportunities

  • Primary business leader for GMS-Ft. Forth by communicating material price guidance (MPCi) to business sector leaders and coalition executives

  • Identification of new potential suppliers and value-added opportunities

  • Provides an executive presence for procurement embedded within the coalition

  • This role requires some international and domestic travel


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience in a supply chain procurement role

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, formal and informal)

  • People and delegation skills

  • Position requires proven leadership ability.

  • Ability to develop strategies and plans of execution

  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

  • Ability to manage expectations and be credible with internal and external leadership or senior management

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, systems and general operations procedures a plus
