This position is designed to help deliver VF Jeanswear’s aggressive short-term and long-term innovation objectives across the coalition.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Innovation & GTM, the Project Manager, Innovation Operations will take ownership of critical initiatives for VF Jeanswear. This critical function will partner with the VF Jeanswear businesses to deliver breakthrough innovations that elevate our brands through consistent processes and rapid commercialization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project management process for assigned projects within VF Jeanswear, managing 3 to 5 projects concurrently

  • Manage all phases of the project life cycle including: initiation, planning, execution, and closing

  • Creation of formal project plans including scope, schedule, critical path, milestones, and risk assessment

  • Accountable for effective end-to-end execution of project plans

  • Manage overall process to ensure project components (across functions) are executed in an integrated manner

  • Identify issues, facilitate resolution, and negotiate necessary adjustments to plan

  • Establish, monitor, and report key project performance metrics

  • Project status updates within core team and to leadership, as directed

  • Assist teams in developing effective business case for new projects

  • Continually look for ways to improve and reduce the overall time to market

  • Facilitate lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and documentation of best practices

  • Serve as a though leader dn key contributor to the Project Management Community of Practice

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of related experience preferably working in a product development role

  • PMP Certification strongly preferred

  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement

  • Familiarity with Stage Gate process preferred

  • Apparel, Footwear and/or CPG experience strongly preferred

  • Able to effectively organize, plan, and manage multiple projects

  • Experience developing and launching new products and product improvements

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and integrate cross-functionally

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams on complex projects

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Critical thinker with the ability to scenario plan and develop risk mitigation strategies

  • Superb oral and written communication skills and interpersonal savvy

  • Able to work with all levels within the organization and build effective relationships

  • Strong conflict management skills

  • Strong in execution with action and results orientation

  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and other function specific software

Education:

  • Four Year Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a technical field

  • Master’s preferred
