Manager, Security Operations: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
This critical position in the Information Security organization secures enterprise information by designing, implementing, and enforcing security controls, safeguards, policies, and procedures along with managing security related projects (directly and indirectly), including internal as well as outsourced. This position works closely with business and IT teams to ensure security standards meet or exceed security and regulatory requirements as well as managing a staff.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Provides team leadership, accomplishes security human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. Achieves security operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; participating in audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. Meets security financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Establishes safeguards by directing disaster recovery preparedness development; conducting preparedness tests. Advises senior management by identifying critical security issues; recommending risk-reduction solutions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; coordinating hardware and software evaluations with vendors. Serve as a technical collaboration point between outsourcing vendors, managed services partners and technical groups. This includes technical planning, strategy input, and technical compliance standards provided applied to the enterprise. Monitors industry threats, security technology trends and new business requirements. Ensure technical countermeasures and risk reduction techniques are efficient and cost effective to the broader business. Design, implement and report on key security metrics and process maturity frameworks used to monitor, measure and manage the global Security Operations program. Leverage industry framework to drive efficient, effective and auditable security management processes in operation. Identify gaps in processes, asset coverage and technical configuration and drive continuous improvements which reduce threat exposure.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
4-year college degree or equivalent experience in information security
10+ years of experience in information security field, preferably with global company
Experience in leading and developing a successful team.
Experience in technical platforms (i.e. mainframe, midrange ( UNIX or AS/400), SAP, Intel)
Experience with network and server security including firewalls, VPN, anti-malware, patch management, etc
Knowledge of information security methods, tools and techniques
Experience with secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, scanning tools, etc
Knowledge of application development methodologies including 3-tier architectures (web, middleware and database).
Ability to analyze and communicate complex material with clarity and confidence. Ability to communicate both technically and non-technically is critical.
Ability to resolve security technology issues as well as deal with major outsourcing vendors and 3rd party service providers. Ensure security initiatives are effective and advantageous for VF.
