Supervisor - Training: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The Training Supervisor position is responsible for the development and supervision of all training and developmental activities. This position is responsible for the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) creation and update process, ensuring all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) meet DC (Distribution Center) standards. This position will be responsible to train and re-train existing associates at all levels on a regular schedule. Documentation of the training will be required and this position provides follow-up to Human Resources as required. This person works closely with managers and other supervisors to identify training needs for associates in each department and documents their needs. They also work closely with the Engineering team on quality, safety, and productivity initiatives.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Responsible for regularly reviewing, evaluating, modifying and recommending appropriate changes to existing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

  • Responsible for regularly reviewing, evaluating, modifying and recommending appropriate changes to existing Training programs.

  • Responsible for new hire engagement through orientation and long-term on-boarding programs increasing performance productivity.

  • Responsible to interpret production efficiencies and quality data reports in order to make recommendations on training and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provides leadership to floor trainers and other associates as needed.

  • Creates, generates, and analyzes DC/LM (Distribution Center/Labor Management) reports to ensure throughput goals are being met.

  • Ensure full compliance with VF policies and procedures. Ensures DC (Distribution Center) is “Tour Ready” at all times.

  • Supports all DC (Distribution Center) related projects as needed.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 2+ years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree and 2 years plus of equivalent warehouse experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Strong, clear and effective oral and written communication skills including public speaking and being comfortable moderating large groups. (Bilingual – Spanish preferred).

  • Ability to pro-actively plan, schedule, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, design, and facilitate training programs.

  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees to improve performance and achieve goals.

  • Ability to listen effectively and collaborate with all stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail and follow through, strong project management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills Expertise with WMS (PkMS), SAP, Microsoft Office.
