Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for The Customer Service Representative assures high quality customer service by resolving product/service problems; providing product information; processing orders.


  • Processes product orders by verifying prices, product availability, terms of sale, etc.

  • Maintain clean and accurate order book for the respective region by using SAP and BW reporting tools. Ensure information on availability and timing are communicated to dealers using a combination of the Order Coverage Report and the Order Status Reports (OSR). Ensure that order allocation/release are monitored and optimized for their respective region

  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's concerns, questions or complaints by consulting team members and other employees; selecting and explaining the best solution; expediting correction and following up to ensure resolution.

  • Keeps customers informed by responding to phone inquiries; confirming and clarifying orders; communicating shipping or back-order delays; suggesting alternatives to meet customer's needs.

  • Maintains customer records by updating account information; such as customer profiles and credit information on Lotus Notes database.

  • Maintains product and service knowledge by attending line reviews; reviewing catalogs, programs and other information, consulting with sales reps and customers for market awareness.

  • Attracts potential customers and sales by answering product and service questions; suggesting products.


  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+

Educational/Position Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or operations management preferred and/or equivalent experience.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.


  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a requirement.


  • Excellent PC and systems skills;

  • Excellent telephone communication skills;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Effective interpersonal skills;

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment;

  • Excellent organizational skills;

  • Ability to work under pressure;

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;

  • Stamina able to be maintained to manage a work level that may exceed 40 hours per week;

  • Must possess good judgement and ability to problem solve;

  • High energy level and positive outlook.
