The role is an opportunity to make recommendations and to help to execute strategies to enhance VF’s approach to a large spectrum of sustainability issues within the EMEA region including community engagement, energy efficiency and waste management. The position will have a strong focus on corporate activities.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Community & External Stakeholders

  • Support VF Sustainability team in their initiatives and various reporting and administrative tasks

  • Implement and promote community initiatives such as volunteering events for both VF Corporate and Timberland

  • Support the implementation of the new internal product donation procedure

  • Provide help with the Green Team management by connecting with members on a regular basis, following up on internal projects implementations, support the creation of the MOVE newsletter and any other internal communication

Reporting

  • Collecting and consolidating data at regional level on Sustainability and CSR KPIs

  • Connecting with national point of contacts to implement collection process

  • Data management activities to support the energy efficiency initiatives

  • Data management activities to support the zero waste project and all the waste management activities.

  • Organize Sustainability & CSR team shared folder

Communication

  • Support with all internal and external Sustainability & CSR related communication by:

  • Researching on issues, topics and new trends in sustainability

  • Keeping track of issues and compiling all issue management process related documents

  • Update Stakeholder engagement map on a regular basis

Day-to-day management of The North Face, Timberland and Vans instore textile recycling programme

  • Track program performance on monthly basis

  • Ensure stores are equipped with relevant materials, POS and training

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

  • Education: University Degree in Sustainability, Economics, Marketing, Communication or Political Science

  • Experience: 1/2 years of experience in a multinational environment or in government and international organizations

  • Language skills: Fluency in English and Italian, any other language would be a plus

  • IT/ Analytical Skills: high degree of fluency with Microsoft Office programs is required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Passion and experience either as a volunteer or supporter of charitable causes
