VF Corporation Sr Analyst - Finance Business (Smartwool) in Steamboat, Colorado
The Smartwool (SWL) Sr Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for forecasting, management reporting, budgeting, DTC support and P&L analysis functions of SWL. Establish control-related standards and procedures. The role is a key support position providing analytics, reporting and business intelligence for the SWL Management team to help drive business decisions against the strategic and financial goals. In addition, he/she will provide analytical support to cross-functional teams to help drive the company’s operating performance and financial returns. He/she will also drive change management through process, systems, and reporting improvements to provide more transparency and visibility into current and future financial results.

Management Reporting Coordinate with internal business partners, Coalition, and VF Finance teams in the preparation, implementation, and compliance of management reporting and analysis requirements Prepare on-going profitability analysis in support of Marketing leadership to help drive decision making including customer P&L’s and ROI on key marketing investments
Direct to Consumer Coordinate with internal DTC team in the preparation and implementation of reporting and analysis requirements. Partner on Comp Trend analysis and Inventory management tools Support execution of new DTC initiatives from an analytics and tactical standpoint. Be a partner to the Director of Retail and Sr. Manager of Ecommerce from a financial and investment perspective. Provide KPI analytics and support to the DTC team to evaluate potential investments and prioritize spend in relation to earnings.
Business Intelligence Drive reporting capabilities within the organization Support growth initiatives by providing analytical support and partnering with cross-functional teams (primarily NA Sales, DTC, Project Management, and Europe)
Process Improvements and Special Projects Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed Identify areas for improvement and focus needed to achieve
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other quantitative discipline preferred or equivalent work experience
MBA or CPA preferred
4+ years manufacturing and retail experience a plus
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Extensive experience with Excel required
Experience with Cognos, or similar BI tool, SAP and BPC preferred
Familiarity with Retail KPIs and analytics
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to travel as needed
