Position Summary:

The Intern, Digital Marketing will support the activation of Timberland’s marketing strategies across Paid Media and Social Media platforms (owned and paid). This role falls within the Consumer Engagement team whose purpose is to determine the best ways to target and attract our evolving consumer base. The Digital Marketing Intern will help us achieve our goals of finding better ways to communicate and resonate with our consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day management and organization of projects for the Digital, Paid Media and Social Media team.

  • Exercise attention-to-detail and communication skills when developing schedules, directional social copy and content calendars, and editing presentations and reports.

  • Prioritize and execute projects based on the strategic priorities of the Timberland Brand. Develop new processes where they may not currently exist.

  • Be a collaborative team member for internal and external communications. Represent the team in a professional manner that demonstrates your subject matter expertise.

  • Become well versed in Timberland product lines. Manage product sample inventory.

  • Upon request, cross-department learning opportunities and support efforts may arise.

Job Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of direct experience. This can be direct experience in marketing or comparative roles that demonstrate your capabilities. Experience in a professional, high-paced setting is a plus.

  • Marketing, Communications, Business and Social Media majors desired but not required

  • Organized, driven, and passionate aspiring Marketing professional who is efficient and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong familiarity with Social Media and its applications for a brand; you must be familiar with the platforms of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and YouTube

  • Understanding of / interest in media (print, Out of Home, events, and digital advertising) and social media trends

  • Experience managing projects from inception to completion is required

  • Must be a fast learner, multi-tasker, independent problem solver

  • Flexible, can-do attitude a must

  • Skills in photography and copywriting a plus

  • Basic Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator skills a plus

  • This is a full-time, paid internship (5 days/week for 6 months with the potential to extend to a year)
