Job Description

Position Summary: Assist the Finance Manager with regular financial cycle responsibilities around actuals, forecast, budget, and strategic planning in support of Timberland’s financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Aid finance manager in monthly actuals review, including variance analysis and summary preparation. Assist in all aspects of forecast preparation & submission to corporate. Review for quality control and accuracy, and generate forecast reporting for key stakeholders. Development of more efficient review tools as needed. % of Time Involved: 50%; Relative Importance: 5- Very High

  2. Aid finance manager in developing budgets and strategic plans for key stakeholders. Includes preparation of financial schedules for submission, ROI analysis, and presentation for executive review.% of Time Involved: 25%; Relative Importance: 5- Very High

  3. Analyze licensing partner forecast submissions and business reviews for risk & opportunity and make recommendations to manager & category leads (monthly).% of Time Involved: 10%; Relative Importance: 5- Very High

  4. Ad hoc assignments as needed in support of Finance Planning & Analysis team. % of Time Involved: 5%; Relative Importance: 5- Very High%

  5. Update & distribute T&E reporting to team leads monthly.

  1. Assist manager with quarterly update of Global licensed product & direct accessories dashboard; includes drafting analysis of results & presenting findings to Finance Manager.

Job Requirements:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 0-1

Educational/Position Requirements: B.A. or B.S. in Business or Finance related discipline preferred

Skills:

  • Excel & Powerpoint required. SAP & Hyperion a plus.

  • Critical thinking, problem solving & analysis, flexibility, strong interpersonal & written communication.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

Must be able to quickly change course regarding responsibilities and tasks – nature of the job requires an ability to shift focus and respond to urgent ad hoc requests.
