Job Description

Position Summary: As part of Timberland's North American leadership team, lead the region’s strategic demand creation efforts, including go-to-market strategies, promotions, media, and public relations for wholesale, digital and brick & mortar. Partner with brand marketing, sales, creative services, operations, merchandising and outside vendors to develop and execute account specific strategies and promotions that elevate brand positioning and achieve financial targets.


  1. Partner with Global Brand Marketing to develop and execute global/regional brand strategies within North America. Direct all marketing and strategic planning within wholesale, retail and digital to drive financial objectives and brand positioning through all channels. Build and execute a coordinated calendar of campaigns, events, offers and messages, ensuring promotions/events drive incremental traffic and sales.

  1. Design 360 degree programs that integrate digital, account marketing and PR with creative retail programs and raise brand/product awareness and drive traffic at retail.

3.Manage a team to drive thoughtful, well defined marketing strategies to achieve and maximize financial opportunities. Recruit, develop and motivate team with the goal of creating a high-performance culture where managers lead by example.

  1. Oversee marketing spend from both a planning and tactical execution perspective and analyzing performance of actual results (ROI) against financial goals to maximize impact.

Job Requirements:

Years of Related Professional Experience:

15+ years in consumer products marketing, ideally with a footwear, apparel and/or accessories market leader

Educational/Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's degree a plus.


  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills

  • Marketing management and strategic planning experience

  • A proven track record in developing teams and executing successful marketing programs to drive financial results

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with people at all levels in the organization

  • Highly developed presentation and interpersonal skills

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

Domestic, overnight travel required up to 25% of time
