VF Corporation Jr Project Manager, Ecommerce Content Timberland - Temporary Contract 8 months in Switzerland

Job Description

Key responsibility for this role is managing the ecommerce go-to-market process from a content perspective, coordinating all the stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness of the online content production.

Typical activities will include:

  • Review the commercial brief coming from Merchandising and Marketing and translate it into an action plan for the content development team

  • Create and maintain a masterplan for all content development activities, identifying possible issues ahead of time and working on their resolution

  • Plan and conduct alignment meetings with all relevant stakeholders, to insure key elements (copywriting, images, product availability etc.) are in place

The project manager is also accountable for coordinating third party agencies that may be involved in the content rollout process.

Role focus:

Key accountabilities include:

  • Create and maintain the content delivery master plan

  • Act as a facilitator to ensure that every stakeholder in the process is consistently aligned

  • Conduct status meetings; develop status reports; track issues to resolution and assist with change control activities

  • Work between e-commerce operations, merchandising and marketing teams to drive prioritization of content initiatives that will have the greatest impact on key customer metrics

  • Manage third parties involved in the content rollout process

  • Build strong relationships with all the stakeholders to play an integral role in the development of online content strategy


  • 2-3 years of experience

  • Familiarity with waterfall project management methodologies

  • Ability to read complex, multi-functional contexts and subsequently prioritize initiatives

  • Result-orientation and capability to relate actions to KPIs

  • Experience in managing a 3rd party development agency

  • Ability to lead a small team and optimize tactical tasks on a daily basis

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.


  • Masters level education (College level education)

  • PMI certification

  • Agile project management familiarity

  • Ability to build long term relationships & communicate with a wide range internal and external parties, either with business or technical background

  • Experience and understanding of e-commerce systems and processes

  • Footwear & Apparel background
