VF Corporation Director of Engineering in Hong Kong
Lead, manage and develop a team of 3rd Way engineers and production managers to ensure that 3rd Way factories meets quality standards, delivery timelines, customer requirements, building overall value capacity for VF Corp.
Lead factory based engineering projects - Design, scope, resource and track initiatives to increase productivity & efficiency, reduce manufacturing minutes in production
Design, scope, resource and track projects that benefit from Process Engineering to create value to VF Product Sourcing Groups; and accurate information on product cost and manufacturing models for use by VFA coalition management
Achieves maximum utilization of engineering manpower by ensuring all engineers are properly trained in relevant aspects of engineering, directing and monitoring assigned tasks and establishing both short term and long term goals and projects.
Direct industrial engineers to continually evaluate the needs of each brand, product or plant to maximize process and efficiency yields.
Liaise with the product teams on seasonal to recommend ways to improve productivity, efficiency and/or reduce product cost while maintaining the quality and durability for the product.
6-10 years’ experience with relevant product/process engineering
Production Management experience in manufacturing apparel or footwear or related field with a multi-national company.
Good command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
Must be able to influence across various matrix structures
Strong planning organizational skills
Knowledgeable in work measurement, direct incentive compensation,
Knowledgeable in apparel, footwear and accessories work methods, systems, equipment and manufacturing processes.
Fully knowledgeable in product costing, cost accounting and budgeting
Ability to communication with multiple levels of management from line supervisors to factory management.
