Job Description

This is a key role that manages full product line sourcing / production for TNF reporting to the VP, Asia Product Supply. He / she works closely with key stakeholders in US, Europe and Asia to develop long-term sourcing strategies and ensure successful implementation. This role also contributes to the success of the organization through developing future talents.

Job Description

Key Area of Responsibility:

  • Develop sourcing strategies together with VP Asia Product Supply, that align with The North Face (TNF) product / market strategies across various markets in US, Europe and Asia, and align with overall supply chain strategy while delivering top quality product, at the right price, on time, and shipped in full per the customers’ needs.

  • Execute the sourcing strategies for TNF to meet or exceed the KPI’s for OTP, Acceptance Rates, Quality, CSR, and other relevant needs.

  • Build close working relationship with The North Face counterparts from US, Europe to Asia, build collaborative working culture with customers’’ best interest in mind.

  • Align the global sourcing strategy within Asia & Africa and ensure it is executed accordingly

  • Contribute to the long-term strategy development that supports business growth and change.

  • Create medium and short term strategy for own brand.

  • Build a strong team with good spirit, knowledge and skills.

  • Ensure merchandising and production planning teams are well trained and fully understand VF requirements.

  • Managing department budget and expenses per VF philosophy. Prepares statistics for analysis to evaluate performance of the divisions.

  • Be a role model by displaying the 5 guiding principles in the daily business and life.

  • Provide direction and leadership that drives change and improvement in achieving operational excellence and enhancing business performances on “faster-together”, cost and quality.

  • Formulate and execute sourcing strategy to achieve brand quality standards, on time delivery and right price. Develop key strategic and tactical sourcing decisions and executes them

  • Develop Sourcing footprint for TNF Outerwear. Manage vendors and engage them in achieving the VFs sourcing strategies through win-win approach. Evolve working relationship / operation model from time to time to achieve further excellence

  • Ensure the sourcing teams are aware of market development resources capabilities, competitors’ activities and price movements and relates this information to the respective divisions regularly.

People Management

  • Build high-performing team and culture through coaching, feedback and developing team members and enhance their potential for career advancement. Plan and develop talent pipeline and successors that contributes to VF long-term success.

  • Coach & develop talents and successors for the direction of 5 Guiding Principles and people management skills

  • Optimize and expose talents & successors by creating learning experiences
