VF Corporation Director, SAP in Hong Kong

Job Description

  1. To provide SAP strategy and leadership to ensure successful delivery of SAP projects in an agile approach and drive SAP service support excellence.2. To be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ERP area, drive continuous improvement and find innovative ways to maximize value and use of the SAP capabilities in support of VF Asia businesses.

SAP Capabilities:

  • Work with business community to understand business strategy and needs and develop related SAP Capabilities’ and initiatives to support these needs

  • Ensure SAP projects delivery are agile and on time, within budget and scope with smooth go-live and with high quality.

  • Work in collaboration with Integrated Service Delivery lines of services to ensure that SAP system operation support and escalations are managed and delivered in a timely and reliable way to VF AP SAP business community

  • Develop a high performance and talented SAP team with Subject Matter expertise (SMEs).

  • Coordinate resources to ensure program and business needs are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders

  • Develop ITEC/PMC project business case and funding request and follow through the PMO process to obtain project approval

  • Financial and budget management related to SAP projects and operation expenditures

  • Optimize VF Asia investment in SAP system (both projects and operation support) by selecting and managing cost-effective external partners/vendors and provide inputs to the service delivery organization to design optimal SAP support and operations model

  • Provide governance, technical leadership and management to establish best practices, like agile methodologies, for delivery of high quality and scalable SAP solutions

  • Work in close collaboration with Integrated Services organization to drive the development and improvement of operational processes related to SAP system to achieve operation excellence

  • Develop and drive SAP Strategic roadmap and capabilities for VF Asia

  • Represent Asia to participate in VF global SAP governance board to develop, align and drive regional and global SAP governance and roadmap

III: Major Challenge:

  • To comprehend complex VF set up and business problems and understand their interrelationships with systems in order to design and develop appropriate effective, scalable solutions

  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, taking initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.

  • To manage a complex team with diverse multinational and geographically dispersed background

  • To manage multiple projects, resources – internal and external consultants based on business and budget requirements

  • Have an Agile mindset, drive continuous improvement and always forward thinking and using innovative ways to drive value-added SAP capabilities for our VF business
