Key Purpose of the Job:

Lead the Speed Team operationally. Main activities are related to driving execution and delivering on the Sourcing objectives related to “Faster Together” and speed to market, ensuring the Brands’ quality standards are achieved while deliveries and service expectations of our customers are met.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creatively solving problems using nonlinear thinking and strategic vision.

  • Building a sustainable, scalable business model combining the current “Quick Turn” and “Customs Footwear” strategies

  • Driving strategic planning operations with the Brand, Vendors and Suppliers.

  • Fostering strategic partnerships with appropriate cross functional partners and vendor partners to ensure Customs and Quick Turn capacity is consumed while adhering to the Vans allocation strategy.

  • Unlocking new operational platforms systems-based enablers that bring scalability across VF.

  • Creating a communication strategy that collaborates, inspires and engages multi-level stakeholders both inside and outside the organization

  • Engaging with Global Innovation Center

  • Driving a cross-functional group of creative thinkers

Key Area of Responsibility:

Customs Footwear:

  • Evolve current business model to enable scale

  • Ensure sourcing base has the capabilities to execute business requirements

  • Deploy PDAS attribute based allocation for Customs Footwear factory capacity utilization

  • Manage Forecast against capacity and negotiate with Vendors where capacity is required

Global Quick-Turn (QT) Program:

  • Evolve current practices to ensure future business needs identified during MHP are executed

  • Create new framework on how to manage and expand the QT program

  • Validate QT capacity to the Global Vendor Capacity

  • Negotiate with Vendors where capacity is required

Keys to Success:

  • Strong connectivity with GIC Footwear team.

  • Applying LEAN principles that drive speed.

  • New processes, leveraging current workforce & systems.

  • The building blocks for a Footwear Center of Excellence.
