VF Corporation Analyst - Procurement in Panama
As part of the Global Materials Supply - Americas Team, The Analyst - Global Materials Supply will support the Material leaders in strategy development within the material supply function resulting in value creation (i.e., cost prediction, savings and avoidance). This role is a key member of the Analytics Centre of Excellence (COE) supporting Global Material Supply organizations. The individual will support the and Material leaders in building and developing a cohesive materials strategy that maximizes “One VF” scale in leverage through analytics and brings a procurement mindset to the organization. The role has extensive focus on analyzing and presenting data related to the competitive bid process, market trends (raw material, labor, overhead etc.) and be the primary manager of the MPCi tool, “clean sheet” fabric cost analytics tool, Material Footprint and Material Price reports. Will support special projects as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Market Impact Focus (MPCi, Raw Material Index database, Material price reports)
Be a primary owner of MPCi (Material Price Change indicator) in the Americas for the brands supported, manage market input and business rules, update, maintain and continue to improve the tool to ensure on time availability with high degree of accuracy of the MPCi output
Monitor and analyze key commodity trend from various sources and alert Strategy leaders if any significant shift
Be owner of Commodity data sources, manage subscription and maintain Commodity index database
Manage on time report publication (weekly/monthly/quarterly) by coordinating with Strategy leaders for commentary inputs on timely manner, consolidate and generate final reports for distribution
Costing Focus (Clean Sheet, RFQ Consolidation, Negotiation packet)
Be the primary manager of “Clean Sheet” fabric cost analytics tool, update commodity cost input, maintain and continue to improve the tool to maximize the accuracy of fabric costing analysis
Conduct RFQ consolidation analysis to support Material leaders on negotiation activities
Support Material team (Horsemen) to troubleshoot and fix issues arise from the tool
Support Material leaders and team to generate Negotiation packet using MPCi output and outcome of RFQ consolidation analysis
Supply Base Focus (Material Footprint)
Be the primary owner of Material Footprint database and platform
Coordinate with GMS Strategy leaders as well as key stakeholders from Responsible Sourcing team in US HQ for data collection activities
Manage data collection communication with RS team and Strategy leaders.
Support Strategy leaders to conduct Footprint analysis, present to business leaders for Material Strategic decision making.
Utilize Material Footprint data to improve accuracy of Business rules.
